From start-ups like RevZilla, IndeVets, Shinola Watches, AminoPayments, and gettacar to larger brands like PECO, Exelon, City Ave District, and Cambridge Innovation Center, Melissa always finds a client’s north star and seamlessly translates that strategic nugget of storytelling to everything from pitches to crisis management, from marketing to engagement strategies.

Melissa has also led the Grimm & Grove team to success helping purpose-driven non-profit organizations like Philadelphia250, The First Tee, Parkinson's Council, William Penn Foundation, and International House.

A proud and civically-engaged Philadelphian, Melissa serves on the boards of the Free Library of Philadelphia, the East Falls Development Corporation, the Main Line Chamber’s Society of Professional Women, and previously the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has been recognized by Leadership Philadelphia for connecting people all over the region with others who have the tools and resources to help them realize their vision and make the biggest impact.

Before starting Grimm & Grove in 2010, Melissa worked as Port Director for the Delaware River Port Authority, served as Director of Corporate and Public Affairs for Aqua America, Inc., and executed a regional strategy for Philadelphia's bid to host the 2016 Olympics. Melissa also earned her law degree from Georgetown while working a full-time job – as if she hadn’t been busy enough.

Today, Melissa lives in the East Falls Neighborhood of Philadelphia. She spends her free time perfecting her forehand, listening to country music, entertaining friends, promoting Dolly Parton for president, and walking Rehoboth Beach with her daughter and their dog Sugar Cookie.
